Biography
Effie Blassberger is an experienced trial attorney who specializes in white collar criminal defense matters and commercial litigation. A major focus of Effie’s practice is #MeToo litigation, where she has represented numerous high profile clients. Because she has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in these cases Effie has unusual insight into the dynamics they involve. Her mastery of these cases and her extraordinary commitment to her clients have enabled her to obtain numerous seven-figure resolutions for victims.
Prior to joining Clayman Rosenberg Kirshner & Linder LLP, Effie was an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County, where she prosecuted more than 600 cases, and tried more than a half dozen to verdict as lead counsel. As a prosecutor, she handled a wide variety of matters, including violent felonies, economic crimes, domestic violence, and DWI offenses.
Before serving in the Queens District Attorney’s Office, Effie was a senior associate at Linklaters LLP, an international law firm. Her practice focused primarily on white collar criminal defense, commercial litigation, and domestic and international arbitrations. At Linklaters, Effie represented clients on a variety of criminal and regulatory investigations conducted by the Department of Justice, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, FINRA, SEC, and the Prudential Regulatory Authority.
