Wayne Gosnell Obtains Compassionate Release for Supermarket Owner

Clayman & Rosenberg LLP partner Wayne Gosnell successfully obtained compassionate release from federal prison for his client Yunes Doleh, who was serving a year-long prison sentence for tax evasion.  Federal prisons have experienced widespread COVID-19 infections of prisoners and staff since the onset of the pandemic.  Mr. Doleh, like many other inmates, was at high risk for serious complications if he were to contract the virus while in prison.  Wayne successfully argued to the court that Mr. Doleh was at particular risk given the pandemic and that, as a long-time supermarket owner in the New York area with a history of giving back to his community, his expertise would greatly benefit society by his release from prison.
