As reported in the New York Times, prosecutors declined to prosecute Seth Rosenberg‘s client James Toback in connection with allegations of sexual misconduct in Los Angeles. Mr. Toback is a prolific writer and director. His screenplay for Bugsy earned him an Academy Award and Golden Globe nomination. Recently, allegations against Mr. Toback, stemming from the #MeToo movement, have been reported in the press and investigated by prosecutors in Los Angeles and New York. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has now confirmed that Mr. Toback will not be charged. In an interview with the Times, Mr. Rosenberg noted that “Jim [Toback] has steadfastly denied these allegations. He is heartened that the Los Angeles district attorney has chosen not to pursue them.”
