Partner Effie Blassberger recently spoke with InTouch Weekly about her representation of Julia Ormond in a case against Harvey Weinstein, Creative Artists Agency, Miramax, and its then-parent company, The Walt Disney Company. Ormond is suing Weinstein for battery, and has also asserted claims against CAA, Miramax, and The Walt Disney Company for negligence, negligent supervision and retention,  and breach of fiduciary duty for their roles in enabling Weinstein’s abuse and failing to protect her.

“If we want to enact systematic change,” Blassberger says, “it requires brave individuals like Julia to come forward and publicly hold both their abusers, and the institutions that protected them, accountable.”
